I'm somewhat resentful about you stealing my Stelio thunder. I was just about to write a thread about this amazing poster.
One of the things that warmed me up to him was the fact that he was an educatorcause you know kids really need someone like that setting a good example for them. So loving, so gentle and kind. -

I remember suggesting something he said was racist, and he dismissed me by saying "Do you think you're the first person to call me racist? hahaha" as if this somehow undermined what I said. -

Ah Stelio.
Probably the worlds worst public speaker. I really do think he was a great inclusion to this place tho. His threads managed to get just about everyone riled up and talking. Definitely not boring, that guy. I probably didn't disagree with him as much as it seemed, i just hated the way he said things. Things definitely got slower when he left. -

I think some posters here knew him personally, which is why, contrary to his behaviour, they would comment on how "awesome" he was.
Maybe he had some disability which he overcame or some such thing. I can't think of anything that would make him "awesome" in any way, no matter how much one distorts semantics other than overcoming some disability in order to infestI mean, enrich public education.
It was particularly frustrating that aelmai (sp?) and my latino italian home girl from the block (I haven't had my coffee yet) defended him, being that I liked both these ladies very much.

Yess, that's the name! Both her and aelmai contributed a lot of good stuff, some overall positive vibes to the board and had a good sense of humor.

Last i heard they were both still somewhat active on the other board, Pitters Place. That was almost 2 years ago tho so i have no idea if they are still there or still active.
I know Liszt was supposed to be going to school or something somewherenot sure about aels. She hated me for some reason.
