    good luck with that one
Agreed. C.S. Lewis is the Alistair Crowley of Christianity. Good luck, indeed.

I don't necessarily agree with everything he wrote, but what always impresses me about Jack is, as the article linked above put it, he "possessed the rare gift of being able to examine his own beliefs critically.'
For anyone who doesn't know CS Lewis as anything more than an author of children's books (which are themselves much more than that), but wants to, I would recommend
      A Grief Observed
to start. It's a very short read, but demonstrates the aforementioned 'rare gift' beautifully in an honest, heartbreaking, open examination of his experience in dealing with the death of his beloved wife, "H".

For anyone who doesn't know CS Lewis
I've read The Screwtape Letters, the Cosmic Trilogy, Mere Christianity, and The Four Loves. He's a good writer, just a poor apologist.
BTW, it's always a mistake to assume ignorance.

Do you even proof your posts? You made the tacit assumption I knew nothing about Lewis except his children's stories because I referenced Narnia.
You really aren't nearly as good at this as you congratulate yourself for being.

Is that more of what you consider to be satire? Because I assumed nothing of the sort. I also haven't congratulated myself in any way. You're losing it, Memmy.
              Tacit assumption. LOLOL!

You really aren't very good at this. No wonder you feel "bullied." You just keep tripping over your own shoelaces while crying, "THEY did it to me!"

No, really. I din't assume you knew nothing about CS Lewis except his children's stories. So it would seem the assumption is on your end, Memmy.

If it can't be paraphrased in a post, it wasn't intended to be a board contribution thus doesn't merit reading separately.

Lewis was a leading and well respected christian apologist.
                                  formerly known as Saoradh
