I don't necessarily agree with everything he wrote, but what always impresses me about Jack is, as the article linked above put it, he "possessed the rare gift of being able to examine his own beliefs critically.'
For anyone who doesn't know CS Lewis as anything more than an author of children's books (which are themselves much more than that), but wants to, I would recommend
A Grief Observed
to start. It's a very short read, but demonstrates the aforementioned 'rare gift' beautifully in an honest, heartbreaking, open examination of his experience in dealing with the death of his beloved wife, "H". -

I've read The Screwtape Letters, the Cosmic Trilogy, Mere Christianity, and The Four Loves. He's a good writer, just a poor apologist.
BTW, it's always a mistake to assume ignorance.

Do you even proof your posts? You made the tacit assumption I knew nothing about Lewis except his children's stories because I referenced Narnia.
