The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of
, the name of the YA novel I started years ago. I had a title, a good opening, names for all the characters, an outline of the plot and subplots, a drawerful of notes, and about thirty pages of a manuscript before I disposed of it, because I couldn't stand the thought of anyone actually reading it. It lived up to its title, in a way.
