There are tons of people in the world that value wealth and items more than human life itself, which is sad.

I look at street gangs around the world that are all about that "bling" and murder their fellow people just because.
They're likely homeless or we're brought up in poverty, I saw a documentary at high school once about the Salvation Army trying to help teens who had no beds to sleep on and experienced abuse and trauma in their childhood, so they turned to drugs and alcohol, they'd probably scare me if I met them in person but they are people inside, just hurt and broken down, could've been you or me, really. -

Human life itself doesn't have intrinsic value. I value my own money and things more than the life of some random stranger. But human suffering and wellbeing holds the greatest value in the world.

Yes, and everyone else feels the same on some level. Nobody actually places an infinite value on human life, because in order to do so, they would have to make real material sacrifices.
But you have ignored the most important part of my post, which is the importance of suffering vs wellbeing.

Virtually everyone values their own money over other people's lives. If they didn't they'd have spent everything but the absolute minimum they needed to survive on trying to help others.
But they don't, so any justification about "needing" X or Y (and spending their money on that) is just a lie to excuse the fact that they care more about things/money than people.
If you're happy and you know it, go sit in the corner and think about your life. -

Of course.
If I had a button that would give me ten thousand dollars whenever I pushed it, but every time I pushed it one thousand people died.. I'd press it and press it till I had enough money to buy everything I ever dreamed of.
