My local flea market recently reopened. I was buying records from a guy when he offered me a box of vhs tapes for free. I couldn't pass it up. I used to collect movies on VHS back in the day.
I dug my vcr out of storage. I connected my old vcr to my old non-smart television. I've gone through a stack of tapes. A bunch of tv shows with commercials from the 80s/90s/ early 2000s.
A couple of hours of Vince Foster news coverage and conspiracy videos. Ed Powers Dirty Debutantes videos. A retirement and birthday party. When I get the chance, I'll convert and upload the most interesting videos to myspleen.

we're like the only 2 people on the planet who still use VCRS i love it. it's like the whole world is having an apocalypse mad max like and we are still in a cave watching a movie on our VCRs!
you watch a movie like all hallows' eve and you get this nostalgic kick that is very palpable and vivid and unique. VHS and VHS 2 are awesome movies about the '80s watching movie experience and VHS tapes and horror movies. VHS gave me the most authentic watching an '80s horror movies back in the '80s and early '90s feel.
there is still a market for this bc they are making blu ray movies that come in old school VHS tape boxes. have you seen these movie boxes? it's only fair bc if they can bring back records and turntables then they have to bring back VHS tapes and VCRS for the fans of this.
so what is a flea market? is it like a swamp meet?
yes, your non smart television that is so beautiful i still have a non HD, big back tube tv. i refuse to move on from VCRS vhs tapes and old school tube tvs bc that is my childhood so to move on from this would be to give up my favorite part of my childhood.
wow, do you have a snuff film on VHS tape? lol. i also have commercials from the '90s on vhs tape.
why did you use a non smart tv with your vcr? is it bc the video quality is best with a tube tv when using a vhs tape?
oh my gosh i was just thinking about dirty debutantes vhs tapes yesterday that i used to see in the adult section of the video store i worked at in 1999.
i just was at a grocery store where they actually rent dvds. i thought the days of renting physical movies with boxes was over. i was really happy and surprised and pleased and relieved when i saw this.

The New York Times just published an article about people who still use VCRs:

I still have a few boxes of my old VHS tapes from the 80s and 90s. Every now and then I'll hook up the old VCR and watch one. Besides movies, I taped commercials, game shows, talk shows, news reports, etc. The last thing I ever taped on VHS video was a two part documentary about Russia called Land of the Tsars. I believe it aired on the History Channel in 2003 or so.

got any porn on vhs? any porn from hbo or the playboy channel? me too. i have about 300 movies on vhs tape in boxes. i love to break out the vhs tape movies i own and watch them on a vcr. nothing can replace the feelings of the process of putting a vhs tape into a vcr and seeing the graininess of vhs tape movies. it keeps me young at heart.
