The painting is actually supposed to be haunted, and the current owner has it in storage. It passed through several hands, and bizarre accidents seemed to occur, strange deaths and such. Allegedly the painter used some of his own blood when making the painting.
I watched a youtube video about paintings that were supposedly haunting or cursed. Here's another one. (As I'm sure you know about me by now, I have a dark appreciate of the macabre, so I tend to like things that aren't bright and cheery, lol). See the kids, and see the hands from inside, behind the glass? Weird, eh?

Yes, it's Ophelia. I feel very connected to Ophelia, in part because of her madness, how she was used and misunderstood, manipulated by her familyβ¦.that, plus I have always fancied Hamlet.
I would like to get a large painting of Ophelia to put over my bed, but it's going to take some time because I could never afford a painting, BUT,..they do prints now on fabric canvas, that look very "real"β¦and because the size I want is large and the print means something to me, I'd want it in a beautiful frame. This is one of my infatuations!
This is the exact one that I want (even though I know there are multiple impressions of Ophelia):
I think this is very pretty as well:
Of course, I would like to get a print of Lilith, and this one in particular:
Another version of Lilith:

Too busy, and too much with the sharp angles (though I gather that's precisely the intent of a geometric piece). But it does have nice balance.

No. I don't believe in heterosexual marriage and shan't lift a finger to support it.
