I've read
Fever Crumb
, which is the first book in a "Fever Crumb" series that's prequel to the "Mortal Engines" series. Fever was a very attractive heroine, but I wasn't that interested in following up on the rest of this prequel series or on the "Mortal Engines" series itself. There's some steampunk I like (for that matter, Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy is at least partly steampunk), but I'm not someone who rushes out to buy every bit of steampunk that comes out, even if it's by someone I otherwise like such as Cherie Priest (whose steampunk I haven't read, but I've read her "Eden Moore" and "Cheshire Reds" books).

, which is an absolutely outstanding take on the Arthurian legend. Arthur's a bandit chief, Merlin's a sleight-of-hand magician with a touch of the con artist, and the Lady of the Lake is a teenage girl whose village is pillaged by Arthur's bandits.
