This is the greatest book! I couldn't put it down!
Then when you look at the rating it is only three out of five stars. Can anyone figure that out?

There's a related phenomenon of selecting an unrepresentative sentence from a lukewarm or even negative book review, and using it as a blurb for the book cover or advertising so as to suggest the reviewer is praising the book. Most reviewers try to say something positive about a book, and publishers take advantage. Eg, "This book is a major effort to challenge our understanding of medieval France. [However, it falls short.]"

I must apologize. I wrote my post wrong.
What I meant to say was. The writer of the review thinks it's the greatest book and gives it three stars. I'm so sorry about that.
