I'm sure he'll complain they don't have the movies he wants after he goes to 20 stores before he figures out they all have similar stock. What a loser.
It would be funny to know what his movie collection contains. Especially since he has said he has VHS tapes, too. -

Yard sales, dollar or liquidation stores, swap meets, thrift stores. Local free ad sites like Craigslist. Pawn shops, used record stores. I've found rare out-of-print DVDs for a buck at a recycling yard "free" store (but no Blu-rays). Keep in mind that many Blu-rays are out of print, but, also, that some have been re-issued with better quality transfers ("Fifth Element", "Withnail & I" for example).
Torrenting and direct downloads offer the best selection.
