I can't recall, but I remember delivering the newspaper when Elvis died and he was on the front page.
Do you still have WHSmith in England? They've all closed here years ago.

              Isn't that a British chain?
I got around £8 a week for delivering papers. Up at the crack of dawn before school , in all weathers, then an afternoon route when back from school.
Looking back, it was slave labour.

Yeah, it's a British chain but we used to have them in Canada too. We even had a Marks and Spencer in the 90s here.
I was delivering to two large apartment buildings so I didn't have to battle the elements.

We have one down the road from my house. I never go though because it's to expensive.

I think I only went in once or twice. I barely remember it as this was back in the mid 90s.
They had a frozen food section which interested me as they had various curries but I never actually tried any.

Are curries a thing over there.

We don't call them "curries". But we have Indian restaurants. You'd never get curry sauce at a chippy though. My favorite Indian food is chicken Tikka. I haven't had it in years though.

That's the only Indian food I've tried.
                              That and poppadoms. 😃

Both delicious. I like Samosas too and often buy them at the grocery store.
