— 1 year ago(August 27, 2024 09:48 PM)I tried, I made some dresses for recitals and a ceremony. By myself, I designed and made 3 dresses like that. I made a Halloween costume, too, a fairy.. Only one seemed that nice, but it was very long, like to the bottom of my ankles. The cotton from the fabric store. Dark green. It was genius, even for Europe.. So, the base was a plain dress with long sleeves with elastic at the cuffs, so they were poofy, very nice. The other piece was a vest. The ribbon was made of the same material and tied in front, maybe usually at the bottom but not sure. The nice thing was it made the back look seamless and indented at the waist, you know? I kept this miracle a secret, but I even made a ribbon out of the same material to tie around the waist, of course with the ribbon in back. It was very classical seeming and somewhat "original," you might say.
