The Thing was one of the first ten BDs I bought, it certainly gave me a whole new perspective on it after only having seen the awful non-anamorphic DVD version previously.

The Right Stuff. I was sick of turning over the 2-sided DVD.

          Epic (2013)
Bought it two months before I bought my first blu-ray player. I wanted some Blu-ray movies on hand for the big occasion.
          That is all.

Can't remember my first blu-ray, it must not have been as exciting as getting that first DVD. That I remember! I got Reservoir Dogs and Basic Instinct on the same day. Both in snapper cases from Live Entertainment.

I can tell you what my first DVDS were: it was Psycho and Dazed and Confused, which I ordered online together. I still have both of them, and they’ve been repackaged since with better menus. Back then, the ne us were plain. This is when DVD players were $400.
Then the first DVDHD or whatever you call them, was Bourne Identity. For the longest time, this was obsolete, but it plays on the newer 4K players which decode nearly everything.
                        Never lose your desire.
