Yeah, when she came out with "Where's my phone", I knew we would be hearing a lot more from her.
Walk the Moon fizzled out after a few years though.
There's always room for a comeback I suppose. Many of today's bands don't seem to experience the same level of longevity that the musicians of old got to experience. They often rise quickly up the charts then disappear altogether once the hits dry up.
The money hungry record label execs view them as expendable and easy to replace with the next best thing. Anything to keep the cog turning and the dollars rolling in.

I've never heard her name before, and I have a feeling if I heard her music, I never would recognize it.
I'm also baffled by the barrage of some of the strangest names imaginable.

Do you keep up with current pop culture at all? In particular the hip hop/rap genre which both she and Lil Nas X often fuse with pop music. If not, then many of the current pop music icons will be unknown to you.

I like old school rap, but not the stuff coming out today. In fact, I really hate "today's rap". I'm also not a fan of "pop" culture music.
There may be some exceptions here and there, but generally,…nope.

I prefer old school rap too, but I can appreciate some of the new school as well. When it comes to pop music, I prefer artists with a unique, eclectic sound. I like up and coming artists such as Lizzo before she hit it big, or counterculture bands with a huge underground following.
I don't listen to Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, or anyone like that.
Lizzo is also a talented musician. She can play the hell out of the flute.
