Why do people mount their TVs so high on the wall?

That's the type of setup that we have in our living room.
We also keep another on a low credenza in our office.
The one down in our basement, in my little workout area is also at eye level while I'm on the treadmill.
Placing it so high seems pointless unless the you have no other option.
It's like sitting in the front row in a movie theater.
You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Lol that reminds me of my old gym… they had TVs practically on ceiling level so after each run, my neck was hurting

very interesting!

More people should revolt!
All TVs should be placed at eye level!
Especially in the gym!

I realize that intelligence isn't exactly your strong suit, so you should refrain from attempting to make funny insults. No one is amused.

we opted not to as well. i think it makes more sense in really large media rooms and our family room is normal size. those home theater set ups usually have really huge sets and i suppose it works because you sit so far back…but i got a 60 inch that suits me fine from my couch
