I remember when people did that with Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct. This big lesbian crowd took offense at the movie, taking it personally thinking it was painting lesbians in a bad light so they stood outside the theatre with posters that read:

hate the use of shaking cameras! They don't add anything to the excitement, at least not for me. The whole found footage, like Cloverfield, just hurts my eyes. Zero excitement factor. One hundred migraine factor. Hated Blair Witch Project for all of those above reasons!
