Why can't I eat what I want?

— 1 year ago(March 03, 2025 12:28 PM)I just found that 3 wraps a day from a "convenience store" is $400/month. That would then be all I'd be eating, though.
I have maybe $400/month now + whatever my salary is. This looks like a good bet.
I got like 90 hot dogs and froze them, to be safe, while I go to food pantries. I have like 6 chicken thighs still, and the people watching me in private went crazy or set something off. The hot dogs were only like $25 at like $1.50 for 8.
Why when my salary should be over $1000/month does it seem to shrink to up to $800/month to jump for joy like it makes no difference? It's lower than everyone else in these states. I was gonna pay off my loans for like $230/month and it brought me down along the way. I just had enough to get by and without more money I couldn't even eat.
So, if this works out, I'd have $900/month maybe and like $100/month for things like toiletries. This doesn't count the internet and my phone bill (cell/"mobile.")
I'm already waiting for calls from most of the food pantries, there are more different weeks sometimes. I called Friday night / Saturday morning.
I'm missing $200 the bank or police won't get back. I'm missing $32 randomly when I bought Instacart+ and got something extra later. I'm waiting for something I'm returning I don't need now for $60. It's a simple trip. The job interviews I have don't look promising, so I cancel them that day or the night before. The return is "7 business days." So, like 1 - 2 weeks if I go today. Get it?
So, I could quit, and I'm inclined not to get hired or have something happen safely, again. I expect to see $900 or over $1000 if nothing happens, though. I don't know if I can even get a lawyer for the nursing home bill with my changed plans, $225/month. I can do less the new person there said, guessing at least as low as $100/month. She wasn't easy to talk to but nice, so I'll ask when I'm feeling up to it and know my situation. The thing is I want a few hundred dollars left over each month.

— 1 year ago(March 03, 2025 12:41 PM)Do you think I can get a factory job (searched "production") and get paid in 2 weeks? or the end of the month, at least? in which case I'd have to collect more backup food and maybe buy $20 of chicken thighs after one pair of work pants and have laundry spray. I've been applying for 2 months about already, what gives?

— 1 year ago(March 03, 2025 12:58 PM)Cold cut ham and hot dogs are both processed meats that may increase your risk of cancer, so it's best to limit your intake of both. However, it's difficult to say which type of processed meat is worse because research is limited.
Explanation
Processing
The main issue seems to be the processing itself, rather than what the processed meat is made from.
Cancer risk
The World Health Organization classifies processed meats as a Group 1 carcinogen, which means that there's strong evidence that processed meats cause cancer.
Sodium
Processed meats generally have four times the amount of sodium as red meats.
Preservatives
Processed meats have 50% more preservatives than red meats.
Nitrates and nitrites
Nitrates and nitrites can be converted into carcinogens in the digestive tract.
What you can do
Choose lean cuts of meat, such as turkey, chicken breast, lean ham or roast beef.
Choose reduced-sodium "uncured" deli meats.
Switch up your lunches throughout the week and include heart-healthy options, like tuna, salmon, turkey and chicken.
What counts as processed meat (and why eating a hot
Cold cut ham is more expensive.

You're not capable of working since you always quit after a few weeks. Stop wasting everyone's time and try to live on what you're getting now.
Stop wasting your money on backpacks and other things that will just end up being thrown out when you move.

You can eat whatever you want, but if you don't eat well you'll be unhealthy and probably die earlier than you would otherwise.
