You're surrounded by a wealth of excellent firewood, lol. I wish I could go back in time and tell my dad or grandpa to plant oak and birch trees on this property of theirs that I now live on. Decades later I'd have a nice supply of great firewood-producing trees to borrow from. *Oak in particular is awesome for firewood, as is birch. Plus, both of them make the most pleasant smoke aroma when you burn them.

Which is why most of the houses in my neck of the woods tend to have woodburning stoves in them. I can always smell the stoves burning when I go outside to walk the dog. It's wonderful!

Thank you for posting a pic from my most fav. AF episode ever!
I do not laugh at any others as much as I do at this one which has Don Rickels as a guest star.
Sven Sat is tomorrow night!

Right!
That drawer full of all that money!
And everything else.
Like when they went bobbing for a crab!
Thing knowing what was happening and taking the key and locking them in.
And how clueless they were.
Here is the full ep. in case you don't have it and would like to watch and be reminded of it.
I have all of their seasons on disc and got them even before really watching any full episodes.
I just figured and knew it would be something fun to watch and it is!

No comprendo: Do you mean better quality (picture clarity, sound, etc.), or just better episodes??
I watched a few moments of the one WP posted above and the sound and picture quality are just fine. -

I miss when they used to have 20-30 episodes per season instead of nowadays it's more like six episodes. There are always huge delays between episodes and seasons.

I agree.
Back in the day it was, like you said, 20-30 ep. per season which went from Fall to late Spring then the summer was repeats and other filler.
I am still not used to a season meaning Fall, a break, then for the same show to have a second season in the Spring.
I very rarely watch any new shows.
Mostly movies and retro/classic TV.
Remember TV movies and how networks had like a bunch every week and even cinema movies which they made a big deal out of?
It is no longer the novelty it used to be.

I sure do. I think that's why I never really got into some really good shows, like Game of Thrones and The Crown. I absolutely loved the first 3 seasons, but then I just totally lost interest because it would sometimes be 2 years between seasons. If I'm only getting six episodes and have to wait a whole year, but the time the next season rolls around, I've lost interest.
As a kid, I remember when our TV shows would have, as you mentioned, 20-30 episodes per season, not to mention, there wouldn't be so many commercials. Now when we watch TV shows, so much of the time is blocked off for commercials. Watching series on TV, that's one reason I wait until all the hoopla is over and then I'll binge watch all of the seasons.
When it comes to 6 episodes per season, that's just getting ridiculous. That's not even a season's worth of shows! C'mon!

Yup.
Exactly.
Totally relate.
Like with you and GOT and Crown….
That's how it was for me and this other show called Resident Alien.
One reason why I lose interest is because of the long wait I forgot what happened on previous eps. or the cliff hanger.
And you are right with more commercials.
When I watched, say MASH, back then there were only three ad breaks.
Now they may have an extra one for the same show!
And the same two hr. cinema movie that was on network is now three or more hours on a cable channel.
It's why I can only watch movies on the movie channels (HBO, Shotime etc) because I hate the interruption if I am getting into a scene.
Sven is 2 1/2 hrs long but that is because he puts in extra features of his stuff at the ends which is fun to watch.
Did you see the ones where he dubs in dialog during Flash Gordon movies?
Good and fun stuff!
Speaking of Sven…
Don't forget he is on tonight.

I swear, I also remember commercial breaks were only about 90 seconds. That would be three 30-second commercials. Now, if we're watching a 30-minute episode, we're watching about 17 minutes of actual footage and all of the rest of it is filled with advertisements.
I don't mind Sven being 2-1/2 hours because, as you pointed out, he does these creative little skits that are entertaining as well as being relevant to the movie being shown. Did you see where, I think it's next week, he's having extra guest hosts including the vampire and the woman who is kind of like an Elvira. I forgot both of their names already!
Yes! Thank you for reminding me that Sven is on tonight! I'll bet you we're going to be getting some good movies now that we're heading into
Halloween
season.
