It seems like the major brands and major retailers don't know how to sell their own products. I was TV shopping for the folks and none of the major brands nor the major market places had the correct filters. Or if they did have the correct filters they had only ****ty older model TV's.
Lets test the boards knowledge. I want to see just how widespread this problem is.
Do you know the most important Specification to look at when TV shopping?

I bought a TV cheap once without really paying attention to the specs. All I knew was it had a large screen and it was a high resolution so it must be good. It was ****. The refresh rate was so bad that any movement caused ghosting. It was completely unwatchable.

I was going to wait for more replies but your response tips my hand.
            Yes.
Refresh rate is the MOST important spec. Period. Hands down.
Tv is a series of still images. It is just like old school animation. The faster the refresh rate the less blur of image. This is especially critical in action flicks that take place with quick motions. The combat scenes in the Transformers movies are a clear example of scenes where high refresh make all the difference. 2nd most important spec is resolution. Third is display type. There is a big difference in quality between lcd & led for example. Fourth is screen size. Then you get into things like how many HDMI inputs or whether it is 3D, or wifi capable orany other considerations.
