Why do people mispronounce Espresso?

I don't, but expresso sounds better, and it sounds more correct. Comes off the American tongue better.

That’s not the word Fugazi . Espresso is an Italian word deriving from the verb, “Esprimere,” meaning to press out. It literally describes the method for how it’s made. You can’t just throw an X in there and decide that’s how you wanna ask for your coffee.
