It's so other cultures can reckon they could make a killing by selling their regular food in Britain but at a much higher price band
It's a way of tricking people from abroad to come into the country really

I think I have but I'm just curious as to what makes "good tasting" baked beans….sweetness, savoriness, texture, accompanying dishes, etc.
Also I looked up a recipe for "British beans" and it did not involve baking. Are the beans really baked or is this a regional variation?
Asians eat very few beans of this variety. -

It's a delicious way to finish up left over baked beans. Maple Bush Beans are the best on toast.
