I think I'm almost there but the speaker hookup is causing a problem. I have two original speakers (both are working) but here's my problem. Behind each speaker has 1 black & 1 red slot for wiring. Behind the receiver are 2 rows of "slots":
red black black red
red black black red
I guess that could be for 4 speakers. I have only 2 speakers. Should I use the 4 slots along the top?
or 1 set of top and 1 set of bottom
Sorry for the confusion but any help would be apprerciated! -

Without seeing the back my guess is they are for A and B sets of speakers.
Is there an A + B selection on the front?
You need to have them on the same set, usually A. It should be labeled on the back too. If yours is to old to see the marking, just look for a screen shot of a similar model on line.
