I haven't been to the movies in a long time, hmmm.
I'd like to go see 'Rings', the third film in the horror series 'The Ring'.
even though I wonder how good it will be after Part II (!!!!)
Anyhoo, I'd love a ticket w/ a small popcorn with xtra butter & a large root beer pleez!
Thanks Count!
I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush. -

Don't worry, neither have I. I'm almost embarrassed to say how long it's been.

Yes, I like a good horror film myself. But since The Ring 2 was subpar I have little faith that the third installment will be much betterbut you never know, right?
I know what! We could go together and sit in the balcony. And if it's bad we could heckle the screen like Statler & Waldorf.
Thanks Count!
My pleasure, fiat. One rootbeer, and giganto popcorn (with real butter) comin' right up.
Enjoy!

due to some physical/medical conditions it's very difficult for me to sit in a theatre for a couple hours so except for the rare flick that is best seen in imax i watch everything at home
some things i'll just watch on the computer ( i have a 24 in screen so it's not to bad)
the rest i burn to dvd and play on my flatscreen
this is what i've watched lately
'hell or high water'
when the award noms came out i thought yes,for sure.went to download it and the popup said 'already exists',so i checked and yeah i got it and watched it a month or more ago,but i started it again and realised it was good enough to watch again, and at some future time down the road i may watch it yet again
'manchester by the sea'
well, may i lack taste, but this was the slowest most boring movie i've sat through in some time.i slogged through it thinking 'best pic nom'so it has to get better.it didn't,to me it was a waste of two hours of life
'hidden figures'
excellent, not only as a drama but as a vehicle to show stuff about the space program i didn't know
'deepwater horizon'
nice action/adventure story.even though i kinda know what happened it was a nailbiter wondering who makes it and who doesn't
'hacksaw ridge'
excellent.great story,great choreographed violence
'arrival'
decent flick
i have never cared for musicals so 'la la land'
isn't on my calendar
'live by night'
put me to sleep
i have 'fences','moonlight','lion','jackie','silence' and a couple others waiting for viewing, but that's for tomorrow and onward
i got the latest 'jack reacher' book from the library yesterday, and even though tom 'asswipe' cruise screws up the movies, the books are still good,so today is a reading day

I'll have a small buttered popcorn, sprite, and some nachos with extra jalapenos. I love horror movies and wouldn't mind seeing Bye Bye Man. Thanks Cousin Count!

Sounds good. Sprite is my drink of choice too. And I'm a horror film buff as well.
Hope you have a great Sunday.

It's the best picture I've seen since "No Country for Old Men" and it's a bit reminiscent of it too.
I kid you not, this is GREAT film; a seemingly simple story of desperation on its surface, but actually a layered and nuanced allegorya true gem!
Jeff Bridges' best supporting actor nomination is well deserved. And they should've nominated Ben Foster (frim Six Feet Under) as well.
Rent it today on On Demand ppv (Charter) and I promise you you'll be glad you did. Outstanding film! 9/10

Just ONE mint? Not very hard to please are ya?
One mint, coming up. Try to enjoy the snooze-bowl.

Thanks for the offer. I've only seen two of this year's Oscar contenders, so far.
One was historical, inspirational, and long overdue and the other was a sappy drama. Let's see how quickly which ones they were can be guessed.
These are the 2016 movies I've seen thus far:
10 Cloverfield Lane
Alice Through the Looking Glass
The American Side
Approaching the Unknown
The Babysitter and the Man Upstairs
Batman vs Superman
Before I Wake
Beyond Valkyrie
The Boss
The Boy
Cell
Countdown
Deepwater Horizon
Don't Breathe
Exposed
The Finest Hours
Food Choices
The Forest
The Good Neighbor
Hidden Figures
I Am Wrath
In The Deep
I.T.
Kindergarten Cop 2
Manchester by the Sea
Misconduct
The Mystery of Van Gogh's Ear
The Phenom
The Other Side of the Door
Ride Along 2
The Secret Life Of Pets
Star Child
U.S.S. Indianapolis: Men of Courage
The Whole Truth -

She's definitely seen more
new
movies than I have in 10 years. Heck, the last time I was at a theatre was 2003 or was it 2005? For the 1st "Hulk" (the boring one). And it was the only film I walked out on. Zzzzzzz

How cool would it be if we all lived near one another. We could all go see a movie together and then have a nice pot luck dinner afterwards.

They were good. I believe the subject matter helped to move along Hidden Figures. It was an interesting subject matter and well told. Manchester by the Sea could be a bit slow at times but it was a nice story as far as sappy goes.
The Secret Life Of Pets was just as expected, very cute. I didn't expect it to be an Oscar contender but it's one of those feel good movies.
I've seen less in 2016 than in 2015, lol. Much of them were seen outside the theaters, via a service or whatever.
