1st time 2 Black actresses (or women of color) nominated in the same category of Lead Actress Drama
    Is that the case?
Had Kerry found her way to being nominated, would that have been really HUGE?

      Good for them.
      Kerry should have been nominated.

They were also up against each other at the Oscars.

Taraji will win, and it will be a backhanded slap to the face. It will be awarded partly on merit, but also because she's playing a black stereotype. Personally, if I had to choose between the two, it would be Viola Davis. She OWNS her show. I get the impression she forces others to raise their game up to her level in scenes.

Anyone who doesn't give Tatiana their vote is wrong.

Agreed and thankfully, the voters made the right choice in giving the award to Davis! Shonda Rimes should thank her lucky stars to get an actress of Miss Davis' caliber on one of her shows.

I think Taraji is more talented. In the last few years,Viola has been overrated like Hell.

Viola Davis is good but HTGAWM is such a stupid and poorly written show that it shouldn't be nominated in any category. This script, these lines, these stereotypes, these characters who are always angry at something and someone, who yell instead of expressing themselves and who don't solve any of their problems just because the plot needs to move forward. Such a lazy work.

Not on her TV show. She deserves every award they can give her for HTGAWM.
