Is he a sniffer? Daisy's nose is always on the ground. She must think she's a Bloodhound.

Mine is the same way too. Even when we go to the park, I think he spends more time sniffing the perimeter of the park than he does playing with the other dogs or doing his rounds to greet all the hoomans.
Sniffing is good for their brains!

Yes, sniffing is an important thing for them to do

Is that why you let Henry sniff your vagina?

There's also "Healthy Wager" which pays people to lose weight. That's a good motivator for some.
Also, GLP-1 meds are great because they can often jumpstart people into action as they learn proper portion sizes. They're starting to use these meds because they've been shown to have cardiac benefits among other health benefits. I think they're great, especially after years of encouraging people to be overweight, thinking there are no health-related problems to carrying so much extra fat.

Not familiar with those GLP-1 meds. Will have to research it. Thanks.

Ozempic and Wegovy and the like.
They can be helpful if people still do the hard work of exercise and eating high protein foods. If people take these meds and do nothing, they can end up losing muscle and that makes them fatter.
It's just one method. It's a bit like gastric bypass or the sleeve in that the person cannot eat as much food.
They're finding out there are additional health benefits, which is interesting. The meds are outrageously expensive. I think they cost over $1,000.00 per month, so once again, not everyone can have access to them.

Yeah, I seriously doubt my healthcare insurance would cover any of that.

As far as I know, insurance doesn't cover it.
Maybe some do, I'm not sure.

There's more money in treatment than curing. I've had this belief for decades, and as time passes and looking at the prices of medications and treatments, that's where the money is. Big Pharma can't get rich if people get healthy.
