Fat and morbid obesity are two different sides of the same coin. Morbid obesity is fatness in its most extreme form. Under our current BMI guidelines a 6'2 man weighing 250 pounds is obese. He may be otherwise healthy and suffering from no ill effects but the medical community will consider him unhealthy because of his weight. There are many factors to consider other than weight when deeming someone unhealthy.
