makes sense.
everyone online seems to be using it for hair regrowth, but I would rather be balding with clean hair than rub crap in my scalp once a day.
I know its different for people of color who's hair can take the grease though, but for my limp Caucasian hair I end up looking like i just came out of the womb. -

Yeah, that's how I found out I was allergic. It did wonders for my hair but left me with rashes all over, so I had to stop using it. My hair is long and healthy anyway, but I was using castor oil as a part of my daily hair care routine to help maintain it.

Isn't ricin a chemical weapon? I had no idea where it came from.
I wish I could use a deep, rich conditioner for my hair. The ends are drier but my hair itself is very fine and slippery. Even bobby pins don't stay put, or claw clips.

Yes, it is, and it's found in castor seeds. My hair tends to dry out easily if I don't keep it moisturized. Castor oil was great for that.

You must be extremely sensitive as I'm guessing castor oil contains only a fraction of ricin or people would be poisoned right and left. What can you use in place of castor oil to help you maintain your hair health? I've read a lot about argon oil being used. Is that something you could use?

Most of my allergies have come on recently. I remember taking castor oil as a kid and never having any issues, but now, I'm very sensitive to it.
Nowadays I use argon, almond, avocado, and olive oil on my hair and it seems to work ok. Still doesn't keep my hair as moisturized as castor oil, but it will do.

It’s overpriced but clean usually. However their stuff is perfumed sometimes with flower oils. I used to buy from Nordstroms but I was never impatient with their products. My skin was still dry after use. I tried quite a few things.
Really probably depends on level of dryness and climate you live in whether its for you.

I'm in Texas and despite the humidity, it can get quite arid here, so I have to use moisturizers that are rich in emollients. It doesn't have to be the most expensive as long as it works.

I've had 3 kids. Baby oil for all three.
My mother put baby oil on me when I was a kid. My kid's father used to rub baby oil on my skin cuz he liked me geased up.
I know it softens skin. I just didn't want to be an adult still wearing baby oil. But no other moisturiser is working for me anymore. So I'll use the baby oil..**** it. -
