You’re either a good actress or your body handles lack of sleep much better than mine.
Oh trust me on this one, just because your body "handles lack of sleep" better than other people, it doesn't stop you from hating your life or wanting to kill somebody…

my mind just runs itself into the ground until I finally fall asleep at 7 am. I’m a pretty bad insomniac.
Know the feeling man.
It sucks when it happens and you have to work in the morning. It makes for such ****ty and long days..

Breathing technique, deep breath in through the nose and count to 8, out through the mouth counting to 8, try to empty your mind while you do it which is the real challenge.
I find it works

So, I’ve had this thing where I’ll wake up at 3-4am every day this week. It’s become my default wake time which sucks because if I’m up late, I’m not gonna get a lot of sleep.
I find that sometimes I need food because I have a freakishly high metabolism. I avoid any real or artificial lights. I should avoid any mental stimulation, e.g. YouTube or social media, but when I’m up for hours beyond what I am supposed to be, it’s tough not to.
Take an antihistamine. They have sleep inducing effects. Try taking melatonin. Try drinking a beer, take a hot bath 1h before sleep, focus on breathing nice and easy thru the nose, maybe get up and go into another room to just chill. Do something to keep your mind off of not being able to sleep. Also, accept that you will be tired today and it’s okay. Just try to do things to stop stressing about it
Stop.
