I truly felt an appreciation for the dedication of previous generations who pushed the status quo and fought for basic rights which they never should have had to push for. It's a very relevant documentary especially considering everything still happening today.
It's a sad commentary on the state of america when so many are failing to see the stark correlation between the current political upheaval of today, as it compares to the social unrest during the civil rights movement of the past. Though a lot has changed, much remains the same, and we still have a very long road ahead of us.
