My favorite activity is walking. I was brought up in a family where walking was part of our everyday activity. We didn't have a car, and I don't have one now.
Luckily, where I live there are some great walking paths away from traffic. I find walking to be relaxing but exhilarating too. It's also very good for your health. -

Yeah, I remember odd things. I've got quite a few schools in my area and walking on the sidewalk can be dangerous because students ride their bikes on the sidewalks here and don't pay attention. It's particularly dangerous when walking a dog for that same reason! I'm always looking behind me to make sure the pooch is safe.

In Europe, bicycles are more dangerous than cars imho. You can hear cars approaching, but with bikes, not so much. And they're all over the friggin' place! I was almost run down several times.
