Back in my early 20s I would get completely ****-faced on NYE.
This year, I wanted to go out, so I asked my ex if she wanted to hang out and we went to some hole-in-the-wall in some redneck area.
I had like 3 beers, and 2 bottles of wine, the most I have had in one sitting on years.
And it wasn't enough to get me drunk. Tipsy, just the right amount for fun personality, but not throwing up and sick the next day. In the past I would have been passed out and throwing up.
We left a little after midnight and watched what was left of the Times Square parties. And seeing all those people out there fully wide-eyed and awake made me tired, lol. These people were partying and I just wanted a nice comfortable bed to pass out in.
Drinking isn't fun anymore. I especially don't understand drinking alone, as there's no benefit from it. I don't understand alcoholics. -

You're getting old. Don't worry about it. It happens to everyone
if they're lucky.
I had four vodka martinis and a glass of champagne. My woman had four vodka and cranberries, and then pretty much wound down. Took her home and put her into bed fully clothed. Took her shoes off and pulled the comforter over her. She was out like a light. She felt pretty good this morning, and I felt great!
PS I got **** faced my fair share of times back in my 20's and 30's. Don't do that now days.
