No, he wasn't. My parents assumed I did something to the dog to deserve it… which I guess I did.
We used to give the dog pig ears. Those were his favorite treats, and he was extremely protective of them. At the time, I was unaware of just how protective he was of them, and was trying to pet him while he was sitting in his pen while he was chewing on he treat. He kept growling and snarling, but I continued to press the issue thinking that merely being calm and reassuring would get him to calm down.

I hid behind the curtains of my tub and slipped and my chin broke open. It didn't hurt, but stitches in 1991 did. I was 5 years old, a good gymnast but a clumsy person.
I remember we weren't supposed to run, but raced a friend, to ballet, and we collided. I was 5. Can't believe I still had problems, for a naive child. I used to pick my nose as a toddler. I didn't like the attitude on me how I was taught to blow my nose and other things they did with a nasty attitude.
