It's undocumented how the Celts and the native people got on and integrated but there is evidence of people living on what we called Ireland with no genetic link to the Celtic people who arrived there.
There's a chap called Metatron on YouTube with a ore detailed breakdown of what is understood from the evidence if you fancy giving it a watch.
