the allies in WW2, under their respective countries resistance movement. Why did the Soviet Union after they took over, started to arrest any officer who picked up a gun/rifle instead of raising their hands and then saying Heil Hitler.
Doesn't make sense, they would had been shot as soon as the Reds were closing in from the East. Nevermind after the war, didn't Stalin originally start off as Hitlers friend before joining Churchill, Roosevelt/Truman, De Gaulle. Therefore he himself had the choice of a uranium mine or a firing range.

Stalin thought otherwise, he thought anyone who the allies encouraged. Fought on their side, pity peasants in the East who would had been under Nazi rule had it not been for their winters. Yielded so much power, so much power that they nearly destroyed the planet in 62 and again in 86.

Stalin was never Hitler's friend. Fascism and Bolshevism were ideological enemies, but Germany and Russia signed a nonaggression pact in 1939 which resulted in the destruction and carving up of Poland: Eastern Poland was invaded by Russia and the western portion was invaded by the Germans; Poland was to effectively cease to exist as a nation.
The more important question: Why didn't the British and French warmongers declare war on Russia as well as Germany in 1939 since BOTH Germany and Russia invaded Poland in September 1939 in violation of Poland's sovereignty? The 'glorious' allies only declared war on Hitler and Germany and left Russia alone. -

Why did the Allies make friends with Germany afterwards, why didn't the new Allies not invade East Germany and run the Reds out. It's not as if the West weren't capable of such a feat.

The Third Reich was destroyed and West Germany was occupied by the allies, it was no longer a threat.

The world was tired of war after 1945 and Russia had an atom bomb as early as 1949. Another bloodbath wasn't in anyone's best interest.
