The date is off by a few years, but could it have been the 1897 Aurora Texas UFO crash?
The Aurora, Texas, UFO incident reportedly occurred on April 17, 1897, when, according to locals, a UFO crashed on a farm near Aurora, Texas. The incident is claimed to have resulted in a fatality of the pilot.
The pilot was "not of this world" and was said to be an alien.
The pilot was buried at the Aurora cemetery. A stone was placed as a marker for the grave, but has since been removed.

It was just a guess Donna. I’m probably wrong. I didn’t actually find a photo. I know that it’s one of earliest (Probably the earliest) recorded UFO crash. Of course, all evidence has conveniently since disappeared.

I guess I gave up a little too easy there Fernando, so let’s try it again. It’s probably not 1947, because that’s too obvious (That, and our A-hole govt is hiding the truth from us). I’ve never heard of an 1895 UFO sighting (But I could be wrong?) so it’s probably not that. 1966 is too recent.
So by incorporating a little logical deduction, that would make ET himself proud, it’s gotta be
1870
.
