printer ink companies are starting to charge people subscriptions to get access to new ink, but the price of the ink is absurd to the point where some people are finding it cheaper to just toss their old printer and buy new ones that come with "free" ink

I came across this epic spreadsheet that compares all inkjet and laser printers
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NsMP90BNbJoMdUGQMLISzFLQB7WsknwtQYPrwiK7HOY/edit?gid=1719803116#gid=1719803116
but I couldn't convince myself to get any of them so I got one of those inkless portable printers for $60 that I will probably lose before I even use it

that reminds me of this quote -
""He would arrive with his vest pockets full of illustrated cartoons and jokes clipped out of the Boston Post. And he'd have his pockets pretty well oriented, so he could always pick out the right joke. And if he told you one that he thought was funny, he couldn't hold back at all—he'd let it all out! He loved a good laugh."
that was about william james sidis, who supposedly was the smartest guy who ever lived. apparently he did memes 100 years before they were a thing.
you're still a weirdo, but you might have some interesting company
