I love pets and animals in general. Not to the point of veganism, but like I'm all for unnecessary violence against animals like hunting for sport and not using the meat.
But I find it annoying when people are like animals are so much better than humans. They're really not. It's kinda like the noble savage myth.

I remember one lady said she converted an entire bedroom in her house into a litter box for her 4 cats… and she would “mow” it every day to clean. I never saw it, so she could have been ****ing with me, but she looked so deadass serious at the time I didn’t question it.

Having an animal as a friend is a very serious thing. They're not cuddly toys or status symbols. They have to be taken care of as well as you'd take care of a child.
