I'd guess it's probably protecting some eggs or baby snakes from its stance and would walk around that area rather than through it. Unless it's actually your property in which case it's time for a new belt.

Nope, not in Scotland. I don't think a king cobra could last 5 minutes here even on our hottest day. It was in Thailand which never dips below 18 degrees and is regularly up around the mid 30s, going over 40 every now and then.
The thinking was that the fridge provided constant extra heat and so was ideal for the mother to be. How she knew that, scaled the stairs and found the fridge was the topic of many conversations at the bar
