Actually my bird did have a life before. He dropped into my garden one day, exhausted and nearly dead. I tried for weeks to find his previous owner but to no avail. He was already trained to sit on shoulder, and in many other things too. His previous owner must have had him a long time and spent years training him. It was a reverse case of the bird training me to be the kind of owner he wanted and was used to.

I tried the fine mist spray. They flew away from the water at first but then realized it was just water so Sapphire sit still. Emmy just wasn't having it at all.
In fact, Emmy just doesn't wanna be here at all. She's acting like Indigo was. Female budgies are too difficult to work with.
The pet store said I could return the bird within two weeks after purchase. I think I might exchange Emmy for another male budgie. -

I need a bird that enjoys being around me. Sapphire enjoys being around me. Emmy likes to be left alone, singing inside the cage not really interacting with Sapphire.
And actually this morning was the very first time I saw Emmy attacking Sapphire.
Emmy might have to be separated but that defeats the purpose of the large cage. -
