Yes, I agree. If I had it to do over again, after Tabby came up to me and started kneading and purring, I would tell them to
"wrap him up"
, and then go back in the kitten room, and wait for the next kitten to choose me.

It's always better to have two cats because they keep each other company. Circumstances make it impossible for me to have another kitty at the moment, but this is the first time in my life when I haven't had a cat or two or three or more…

You need to get another kitty. Harry, my outdoor cat disappeared several months back, so now I'm down to just Tabby. But my friend's cat
Poof
is pregnant, and I have first dibs on one of the kittens. Tabby needs a buddy.

PS Especially when I'm away from home for almost five weeks exploring exotic foreign lands like Australia and New Zealand.

This is the first time in years that I only have one cat after my girl died a year ago and since her death my boy has become super clingy with me and spends pretty much every minute of the day next to me and then sleeps cuddled up to me all through the night. He's so sweet and I love him beyond words but I do feel bad that he lost his sister and I have considered getting a friend for him but I am not sure I want another cat. I have two dogs so he still has siblings but they don't have the same relationship that he had with her.
