When he starts moulting he'll need some more extras in his diet too. Losing feathers and making new ones really takes it out of them. I gave my bird a bit of scrambled egg when he was moulting and I guess they make special pellets for that time too.

SAPPHIRE EATING AND EATING AND EATING AND CHIRPING AND MOVING AROUND
[video]
While listening to other budgies, he wanted to make noises too.
In this half an hour video a lone budgie cries for company.
The view of Donna's Wall doesn't make it any better. β»
The few toys aren't enough for an intelligent, playful and friendly birdie.
And as somebody asked here (and in other threads):
What happened to the 2nd budgie?!
Someone said, Donna brought the 2nd budgie back to the pet shop.
Reasons unknown and would be anyhow a flat lie.
So,
dear
Donna:
Get leastwise one companion for this poor one.
π¦
Otherwise you'll regret it even moreβ¦believe me. β»

Get leastwise one companion for this poor one. π¦
He's always been quiet even with that other one around. He'd only chirp while listening to other budgies.
I learned some new things about budgies from a YouTuber that owes several different types of birds.
She said don't rush out to buy a friend for your budgie cuz it might not get along with it like hers didn't bond so she had to put her budgies in separate cages. I've seen her videos and the budgies have separate cages.
She also said that her first budgie was the only bird for a year!
Also,
One of her budgies actually bonded with her Conure bird instead of with her first budgie. -

Excuses, excuses.
And congrats you found one (!) Youtuber who supports
solitary confinement
for budgies. β»
Unlike cockatiels who can be picky with their mate-choices, budgies usually come good along with each other. Every now and then there's a
'hermit-budgie'
(rarely!) most often with bad experiencesβ¦traumatized.
So, what happened to the 2nd budgie you had? -

Stop harassing me and my budgie! LEAVE US ALONE.
MEET ALL MY BIRDS!! Get to know the flock

I'm not
"obsessed"
with your budgie.
I'm very sorry for your lonely birdie. π¦
And the incompetent **** you release here is simply gross. -

Liar! You are obsessed. Why don't you troll YouTubers that have only one budgie??! Why you keep picking on me and mine?
As long as I spend a lot of time with my budgie, it's alright to have only one.
Should I Get One or Two Budgies?
Yessas, you spent much time playing SimCity while your budgie cried.
What
YOU
misinterpreted as
"happily chirping"
.
Buy yourself a
budgie manual
and stop attention-whoring, Donna.
See you soon!

First of all, I can tell that you don't know **** and you don't watch YouTube videos about pet owners of budgies.
I've had the bird for a month!
It takes time to bond. First she has to get used to seeing me before I can start really training her. That's why I have her at my desk while I do things.
She's stepped up on my finger a few times, so that's progress. -

Yah, I saw it when your 2 (!) budgies just arrived at yours and you chased them with your big hand around, inside the cage. No other way out than to jump on your finger.
Reminds to the still pending question:
What happened to your 2nd budgie?
