Hey dude!
It's been awhile
It took me a second but I get it. This cartoon shows the strange dicotomy when it comes to our treatment of animals.
Nice
I'll try to send you one later or manana.

12 mins minus typing-time was pretty fast.
That was my revenge for the "dude".
And yes, it's crazy at some zoo-shops.
At the one corner they sell mice and hamsters for the kids as pets.
At the other corner you can get the same as snake food.
Don't know if they make it in US less obvious? -

DUDE, the hornet one gave me anxiety! I thought the poor guy was gonna get stung!
We have a creek behind our house, I love listening to the froggies and crickets!
Did you ever watch American horror story WItches? There is a scene with frogs and it makes me sad because I do love them. -

I watched a lot of these videos and I've seen these frogs eat centipedes scorpions, tarantulas even venomous snakes.
I had no idea they were so formidable. We don't think of frogs this way usually.
Yes they have amazing resiliency. I'm not sure if they are immune to venom or not but they are tough as f***!
No I haven't watched that AHS or any of them to be honest.

I have only watched 3 full seasons. This reminded me of witches because one of the characters loves frogs.
That was NOT a small hornet!! I could not watch the hamster one. My daughter has one that looks just like one of the gray lil dudes.
Pretty remarkable. -

The hamster one was kind of hard to watch for the first time too. I used to have two gerbils when I was a kid.
They were fun AF, Richard Gere jokes aside.
While hamsters crawl gerbils jump around like little baby kangaroos. Fun to have.π¦

Same. They're crying for it to rain or wanting more rain.

A useful info from Australia for all pets, animals and well-meaning activists across the World.
Cane toads - a threat to our pets and wildlife
Australia is home of some the most dangerous and poisonous animals in the world. One in particular that poses a threat to our pets and wildlife is the cane toad. Every year our team of vets at Animal Emergency Service treats thousands of cases of dogs who have been poisoned by cane toads.
This guide will provide you information on the signs and symptoms of toad toxicity, what to do if your dog comes into contact with a cane toad, and is the ultimate guide to toad toxicity for dogsβ¦

Cane toads
(scientific name: rhinella marina, formally bufo marinus), also known as the Giant toad and Marine toad, are an introduced species to Australia. Their native habitat extends from the southern United States to tropical South America. In June 1935 the Australian Bureau of Sugar Experimental Stations
imported
a small breeding sample of cane toads from Hawaii. The aim was for them to eradicate native beetles, collectively known as cane beetles, that were destroying sugarcane crops in Queensland. The cane toads successfully reproduced and by August approximately 3,000 were released in sugarcane plantations. However, they didn't live up to the expectation of controlling the beetle population, and instead reproduced and spread at a rapid rate.

Cane toad poisoning is rare in cats. -

Yep I love dogs and won't talk bad about them but they seem to think with their mouth 1st instead of their brain and eat anything that moves.
Cats seem to be a little more apprehensive.
Australia and surrounding islands always seem to have major trouble with foreign invasive species.
