Okay. My sister lives in New Hampshire and has a small farm where she raises bees.

You're in New Zealand. But in the U.S. when I was a kid there was hysteria here about a strain of killer bees coming up from South America. They were supposed to kill all the native bees and then start attacking people. But they arrived, mixed with the local bees, and the whole thing blew over.
Maybe you remember SNL skits about killer bees? That's what it's based on.

I remember the killer bees scare. There might have been a couple of movies made about it.
My neighbor has bee hives, and my garden is full of honey bees and bumble bees. They never get nasty, and I never worry about them when I'm outside. -

Yes, I was eleven. We were driving thru a wooded area and were the second car to hit the deer. We spun out and did a 180° and wound up on the other side of the road. We were shook up, but the only damage was done by the deer. An oncoming vehicle might have been the end for all of us. The area was frequented by log trucks. Years later I saw the aftermath of a log truck accident near Forks, WA, (not at Twilight) not a pretty sight. The truck driver survived but his load buried the car that didn't make it.
