We had several auroras over whole Germany in recent days.
Last night, they were visible over Berlin as well.
Unfortunately, they're difficult to see here due to the usual city's light smog.
What these intense solar storms might mean for all of us on Earth, I'd better not say.

Wagenitz is about 60 km from Berlin.
The lights on the far left could be the outskirts of Berlin.

These astonishing celestial spectacles have completely different reasons.

β Light Pillars in Russia
In several Russian cities, columns of light rose into the sky at night.
For them to form, specific conditions are needed.
Russia - Cold weather creates columns of light.
The light effect that created the spectacular images in Russia is called a halo. The white columns are formed when light hits ice crystals in the atmosphere. For this to happen, it must be extremely cold so that the water vapor suspended in the air can freeze into hexagonal ice crystals. Ideally, there should also be no wind to ensure that these crystals sink slowly.
When light hits the frozen crystals, it's reflected. Ice crystals are distributed over different heights within their hexagonal structure, the reflection appears columnar. The distance between the crystals and the observer must also be quite precise; otherwise, the reflections cannot be perceived.

I couldn't find the video from the article on YouTube.
This video β
β from Colorado also explains very well how these light columns are formed.

You're not German, Juan. You're not a woman either. You are, however, severely autistic.
