I'm pretty sure
the billions of tonnes of nickel cyanide it is leaving in its wake
will have people reconsider why the word 'disaster' exists
This next year should be an interesting one for environmentalists to all become new experts on everything interstellar -

There's zip that's been peer-reviewed yet as it is an ongoing study.
However
this article does link to the data available
and that data suggests that the object 3i Atlas has reduced in size and seems to have shed much of its load at some point when it was closest to the sun and outside of observation from Earth
It's a touch unexpected, but then an object older than our sun, and as large as this, will have things associated with it that we've never encountered before. -

Dr Loeb is all over this thing positing it could be ET spacecraft. It’s very weird how it lost all that mass all of a sudden after 7 billion years though. So maybe it is
