Okay fair point but maybe one group of people can distract the rhino(like in bull fights) while the other dig the hole is fast as they can?
No shovels but using legs and feet can also dig pretty fast. I guess it just depends on the terrain.
If that doesn't work they'll figure something else out.

50 surround the rhino and try to keep it contained. Some may die but their sacrifice won't be forgotten. 50 others dig the hole with their hands. It should take about an hour, give or take a few minutes. Once complete, cover it in sticks and layer on some of the removed dirt to conceal your rhino pit. Now attempt to herd it into the trap. Not sure how you do that, but I don't see you coming up with any better ideas.

You don't completely surround it. You form a sort of half circle and it will retreat through the opening, where another group moves in and chases it back the other way. Do this repeatedly and you may not even need the rhino pit. It will collapse from exhaustion, which was a main method of hunting prey in prehistoric days. Humans don't have much for size and strength, but we have more endurance and we can outlast.

The big hole is a good theory. However do the humans have time to dig a pit big enough for the rhino? I mean they are all set loose at the same time.

Let’s assume it’s in a cage so nobody can run. The rhino will get tired eventually before the humans all die but it will be a bloodbath.
I think it depends on what’s in the environment. Humans a dangerous usually when they can manipulate their environment to innovate tools or traps. Without those options, the rhino is gonna need some sustenance to kill everyone.
Rhinos kill by charging. They’re not carnivorous. They’re also not violent. So let’s assume one of rhe 100 men injected the rhino with meth and cocaine and also got it drunk before kicking it in the balls.
Rhino wins.

Yeah this is interesting.
I wonder how many humans dies in a single run? 5 maybe?
And what can they do to the rhino when it eventually gets tired. They would just over power it eventually, start ripping the eyes out. But can they even pierce the skin, regardless how many humans?

Monkey like to rip off your balls and eyes and tits. I’d learn from them and start with any soft targets and get everyone to rip and bite the rhino’s dick and gouge its eyes out.
After you take out the eyes and cause enough bleeding, it’s gonna be ultra pissed but as it loses more blood and charges around blind, it’s gonna get dizzy and weak. That’s when someone (not me) needs to go into one of its orifices and stretch it out so the internal organs can be reached.
Honestly I think the 100 men will probably fight among themselves before directly facing the meth rhino

This scene just kills me.. lol. Imagine being the first five guys going in for biting the rhinos dick off, while getting stomped to death. But all it takes is for one guy to get the last bite in and rhino will start bleeding heavily.

I guarantee you some asshole emperor made 100 poor sods fight a rhino in the coliseum
