Okay. Lots more people will be put out on the streets and committing suicide but as a whole we will be okay further down the line. Lots more people will be without work, further entrenching the young into long term underemployment and unemployment. Sorry but none of this is good. Survivable but not good.
    Stop.

I didn't save it was good. It's a challenge like any other. America has never shrunk from a challenge. This is a challenge like all others, and as always, we will meet it and
      beat it!

I'm guessing that you're just trolling me now, but no way, Billy Bob!
          America has overcome
          WAY more difficult
          situations than this. Remember,
          600,000
Americans were killed in the Spanish Flu Pandemic in 1917. Compared to that, the Chinese Flu is
          peanuts.

πŸ™„ how do they know that when the pandemic hasn't even been around for at least one winter?
Unless cold weather means everyone huddles together in small places. Then again, businesses are limiting the number of customers allowed in the store. So, is the virus behaving differently than it was over the spring and fall months?

There is a real chance it could be. When it first hit the rise in cases was massive, but it dropped considerably over the spring and summer. Perhaps it wasn't entirely due to social distancing measures but due to a change in the weather. Social distancing hasn't been strictly adhered to for some time and yet we still aren't seeing anywhere near the rapid rise in cases that we saw when the virus initially. With COVID in many more locations than it was in March, you would expect those numbers to be increasing even faster. This fall and winter could be bad.

What happened in the Southern Hemisphere during our spring and summer months?

                  Check this out,
                  https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2020/08/26/906323250/from-the-global-south-hints-that-u-s-may-be-spared-flu-on-top-of-covid-19
This seems to be both good and bad news if we assume it will be replicated in the north. No flu means we won’t be facing epidemic or dual flu and cv19 cases. Seasonal, however, means covid will be back for more.
                  Stop.

There were no cases of regular influenza in New Zealand this Winter. The shutdown and extra precautions for the prevention of Covid had the added benefit of nobody getting sick with flu either.
