Three paths for one dog?
Or one path for a dead dog?

Well, technically two.
But when the snow is, as I mentioned, up to my mid-thigh area (and that's all of the
actual
depth of the fallen snow, the blanket of snow in my backyard,
not
snow drifts. The snow drifts or plowed piles are
much
higher and I can't make it over them. The whole thick blanket of snow is incredibly deep. When it fell, it was partly up my door. When it came time for potty, the snow was just so deep, so those pathways simply had to be shoveled with one path leading to the middle of the yard, one path off to the left towards the bushes, and the other path off to the right where the trees are. Other than that, no running for now back there. That's where the dog park comes in handy.
I saw someone tying balloons on their dogs' collars when they went outside because of the snow depth. All you could really see is piles of floof jumping through the snow, but only the balloons were always visible.

I'm having a hard time with my dog going potty because the snow is so deep. He doesn't like going within the two tunnels I dug out for him. He wants to jump up and onto the snow. (The snow is over two feet deep so it's deeper than he is tall). He's getting terribly mopey. Again, we hit 50 yesterday and right now, it's 26 and snowing out! The snow isn't going to stop until tomorrow morning. I love this stuff! My only complaint is my dog being unhappy because he feels trapped, but otherwise, this is totally my kind of weather! I've got two of my comforters hanging out! They get so freshened up by the snow and wind.
Awww, the kitties all bundled and warm and cozy! That reminds me of that cat box you built!

We're still at it!
Yesterday, it was so warm that wearing a coat was my big mistake. When we were all outside, it was in the upper 40s (before turning into the mid 50s a wee bit later) and there was no wind, so it was HOT! Too hot for my tastes. Sleeping with the window open at night was fantastic, however.
Get this. We're getting another snowstorm today! People like me love this stuff, but I think a lot of folks are tired of the weather whiplash.
PS: That little kid on the sled is totally me! When I'd climb those great big hills with my sled, hop on and start down, inevitably I wiped out more than I didn't. I wasn't built for sledding lol

No sledding for me but lots of slipping and sliding when trying to walk out there!
