I remember reading that story, but somehow you never hear about it when the libtards raise their lunatic objections. I'm 1/2 Iroquois on my dad's side and none of our family, including me, has any objections about "Redskins" being used as a nickname.
In fact, we'd appreciate it if all non-Native Americans would just butt the f-ck out! We don't need any self-righteous asshöles speaking for us.

I think that the Purdue Boilermakers name is an affront to all decent boilermakers. And Packers? Packers of every stripe should be up in arms. Not to mention Fighting Irish.

I don't think people are offended at all, people have decided that if they dislike something it's offensive, I find it hard to believe that if a sports announcers say "touchdown Redskins" that and Indian lose their appetite or can't sleep because it's so bothersome.
