I had just spent years despising him because the same fastball 2 inches outside of the strike zone 90 times every single game and it was inexplicably called a strike, so batters had to flail at it. Then he came to the Mets and did exactly the same thing, although with inferior results.
I'll give him this though, guy was a great athlete and played the game the right way. Was dependable with the bat, a great fielder and even ran the bases well. A pro's pro.
But fck him. -

It's funny how the Braves got p!ssed at the announcers who showed how far off the plate the pitches were and how the catcher set-up outside of the catcher's box.
For the most part, I look at guys in the HOF and try to see if they would have been so great had they played in the 1960's or before. Like, Rickey Henderson wouldn't have stolen so many bases because he'd be seeing stars after Gibson and Drysdale beaned him for hunching down so much. Actually, they wouldn't have had to because the umps would have been calling those pitches at eye level on him strikes, so he wouldn't have been walked as much and would have had to change his batting style. Same thing with Dawson.
And, speaking of strike zone, had Glavine and Maddux pitched from the early 80's and prior, they would have actually had to throw strikes to get a strike called. And, because of that, they wouldn't have combined for 300 wins. -

Could not stand Rajon Rondo in college, still don't care for him now.
Was never thrilled when TO went to the Eagles. I tolerated him but really did hate the player while he was there. Is this Idaho? Because I will not limbo in Idaho.

Ron Artest just because of how he destroyed what was probably the best Pacers team ever and prevented Miller from one last shot at a ring.
Then.when the Pacers stuck with him even after he screwed them over.he demanded a trade.
The guy wanted the Pacers to let him have time off so he could make a rap album. Just a selfish, ungrateful idiot. -

I'm a lifelong Giants fan. I hate Barry Bonds with a passion.
I cannot tell you how hard it was to watch the 2002 World Series and pull for the Giants to win but want Barry to strike out every time. That's how much I hate cheaters. -

That's how much I hate cheaters.
I also hate cheaters and frauds too. That's why I hate Shady Brady and the Patriots. They're the Bernie Madoff of the NFL.
Madoff scammed money from thousands of people. Those people worked hard to earn their money, and Madoff just scammed and stole their money. Similarly, Shady Brady and the Patriots cheated and basically stole championships from other teams and players who worked hard to try to earn a championship.
Patriots' fans accuse me of being a troll, but I'm not a troll. I just hate cheaters and frauds. Before Ben Johnson tested positive for steroids at the 1988 Olympics, I used to like watching him race. But he turned out to be just a cheater and a fraud. Likewise, before 2007, I respected the Patriots because they were almost (not quite, but almost) as good as the great Cowboys' dynasty of the 1990s. But it turned out that Shady Brady and the Patriots were just cheaters and frauds. -

So you also hate Jerry Rice and Joe Montana?
Rice and Montana never played for the Cowboys. Deion was the one who played for the Cowboys, the year after playing for the 49ers (and getting away with the pass interference against Michael Irvin that wasn't flagged in the 1994 NFC Championship Game). Deion was always a jerk, and the 1990s Cowboys had already won a couple Super Bowls before Deion got there so they didn't need Deion to win another Super Bowl. Deion not only didn't contribute much to that 5th Super Bowl title, but also Deion got beat for a TD catch in Super Bowl XXX.
As for Rice and Montana, they were never suspended by the NFL for cheating so I don't know if they cheated or not, but it doesn't matter because I always rooted against them anyway. -

You don't know if they ever cheated? Rice admitted to it in an interview and Montana admitted to knowing about it. They weren't suspended because they never got caught but it's still cheating. -
