In or out?

Is it five or six not counting the old-timers?
This year only - - not saying others shouldn't be in in the future:
Tomlinson
Owens
Coryell
Jacoby
Law
If it is six, I'd probably go Dawkins - - there's going to be a logjam at safety very soon (although Kenny Easley is in this year). -

Not a definite number

No, but there is a maximum.
Just read on the Hall of Fame site, it's between 4 and 8, but I don't think it can be eight outside of a Veterans Committee (Kenny Easley) or Contributors (Jerry Jones and Paul Tagliabue) being some of the picks. -

I think they can elect up to 5 players and up to 3 from the builder's category (Tagliabue, etc.). A player like Easley gets elected by their version of the veteran's committee. My vote:
LaDanian Tomlinson
Terrell Owens
Brian Dawkins
Kurt Warner
Tony Boselli
Lot of deserving people though. -

At times I think Pro Bowls is over rated. Some players get picked over and over on past deeds and not current production.
You may be right, I might be crazy, but it just may be a lunatic you are looking for! -

I've watched the NFL since 1977.I've seen the St Louis Cardinals suck, the Phoenix Cardinals suck, and the Arizona Cardinals suck.Kurt Warner actually got that sad franchise into a Super Bowl, maybe the only time we'll EVER see that.
For that alone, he belongs in the Hall of Fame. -

Tomlinson and Warner for sure.
No interest in Owens. A player that makes teams worse doesn't belong in the HoF. He would be the only player in the HoF that teams would pass on having on their roster. The game is about winningnot stats. -

Well, five teams independently signed and played Owens, so I'm not sure teams were passing on him.
You left out the part where they all got rid of him. There is a reason why he played for 5 teams.because his previous team didn't want him around. That doesn't sound like "Hall of Fame" to me. Numbers are nice, but when teams actually get rid of you, that means the negative effect on the team outweighed the positive effect of the numbers. -

Tony Boselli
Alan Faneca
Joe Jacoby
Kevin Mawae
#ThatsSoBeardy!
But yeah, all 4 of those guys do deserve it, with Jacoby being the only guy on the fence guy for me. I mean, the other 3 were among the best and most dominant at their positions, and god damn are they important positions.
I always forget how this $hit works in the NFL. I know there's a minimum and maximum, but I always forget what those numbers are and how the Seniors Committee dudes count towards that, as well as the contributors. So what I'll do is just post a list of who I think deserves to be in, in order of deservingness. Whatever the maximum is, that's my answer since this year I think it's a strong class and there are definitely more deserving folks than can get in.- Tony Boselli
- LaDainian Tomlinson
- Kevin Mawae
- Alan Faneca
- Kurt Warner
- Terrell Owens ( Wow, the Super Rare Beardy WR HOF endorsement!)
- Don Coryell
- Jason Taylor
- Joe Jacoby
And YES to the Seniors Committee choice and Tagliabue and Jerry. Just out for me would be Brian Dawkins, but I would have no issue if he got in provided it's not at the expense of the top 3 lineman.
Also, Boooooo to the lack of interior defensive lineman. Boo indeed
I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue were announced as contributor finalists
Don't they announce the Hall of Fame selections the day before the Super Bowl? So Jerry Jones could get the announcement that he's been selected to be in the Hall of Fame, and then the next day Jerry Jones gets the Lombardi Trophy when the Cowboys win their 6th Super Bowl. -
